Ancient Egyptian Makeup

Centuries before any kind of cosmetic blogs or youtube videos,  ancient Egyptian civilians found ways enhance their appearances. Before blush was invented they used to pinch their cheeks to give themselves some color. The pharos and the high class civilians always colored their hair red with henna to represent their higher class in society, whereas the lower classes could not, simply because it did not match their class.

Egyptian queens used things like tree bark, henna, pigments from berries and flowers, and all natural things as makeup, which is always depicted in Ancient Egypt’s hieroglyphics. They also wore big head peaces and lots of gold and dramatic looks, which were of course restricted to the rich, never the poor.

Considering how people have been using some sorts of cosmetics to improve their appearance dating all the way back to the ice age the cosmetics industry has immensely improved however without this basis, things could be extremely different today.
